BIO

Originally from central Indiana, and after an 11 year stint in New Hampshire,

Lee Ann now makes her home in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

When she was home with young children, she taught piano lessons and took up

watercolor painting, primarily because she was too poor to buy other people's art,

and also because the creative outlet diverted her from the intense desire to duct tape

her children to the wall. All manner of ruckus is easier to cope with when you have

an outlet. Or duct tape.

After covering a coffee table with basic tile from Home Depot, she stood back and

said "Well, that's lovely, but what if...." Thousands of pounds of glass and stone later,

she has the honor of having been juried into international exhibits from Ontario, Canada

to Charlotte, North Carolina - Somerville, Massachusetts to Long Beach, California.

She was twice honored with an invitation to the Contemporary Mosaic Art Summit

exhibit at Southern Oregon University's Thorndike Gallery in Ashland, Oregon, 2015 and 2016.
